Lee Whitwell, Director of Tennis

Lee is originally from Gibraltar and a former world ranked women’s doubles tour player. She brings a wealth of experience as an avid player and coach to Sycuan Golf and Tennis Resort. She has taught all ages and levels including touring pros. She is an expert in doubles match play and strategy, transitional tennis (moving from baseline to net), volleys, net play, and off and on court tennis specific conditioning.

Lee’s emphasis on proper tennis stroke technique, non-stop correct footwork, attention to your individual strengths, and her knowledge of proven strategies allows you to get the best results and most fun from your tennis game.

Al LeClair, Head Teaching Professional

Al is originally from Manitowoc, Wisconsin and was ranked among the top junior players in the Midwest. He attended Michigan State University and after graduating he joined the Marine Corps where he became the All-Marine Corps Champion, All-Navy Service Champion and Inter-Service Champion. He has competed in all four Grand Slams and over the last 35 years has had the privilege of working with sectionally and nationally ranked junior players.

Al’s specialties are the serve, return of serve and overall point construction.
