San Diego Beaches
La Jolla
As the jewel of San Diego beaches, La Jolla is one of the most beautiful areas in all of San Diego. The town is perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean with numerous coves and beaches nestled between the cliffs. Popular activities in La Jolla Cove include swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and more.
Pacific Beach
Surfing and shopping are both equally popular in Pacific Beach. The area is filled with a variety of homes, everything from houses and condos to apartments and studios. Popular shops and eateries line the jewel-themed streets, especially Garnet Avenue and Felspar Street.
Mission Beach
Mission Beach is a popular peninsula full of houses and shops that separates Mission Bay Park from the Pacific Ocean. The beach is popular for sunbathers and surfers alike. Belmont Park, the local boardwalk, is located on Mission Beach boardwalk and is known for its carnival rides and wooden roller coaster, The Giant Dipper.
Coronado
Coronado is a beautiful peninsula connected to the San Diego mainland by the Silver Strand. Sitting on the coast facing southwest is the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, a Victorian beachfront landmark. Visitors to Coronado can enjoy beautiful weather nearly all year around. In addition to the Silver Strand, guests can make their way to the local shops and restaurants by way of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and the Coronado ferry which departs from the San Diego harbor.
